Gretchen Chloe Thayer
Raised in the Midwest in a family of artists, Gretchen was drawn to the colors and shapes inside of her father’s stained glass studio. She has a BFA in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and also studied at the University of Brighton in England.
Her foundational art practice includes printmaking, watercolor and drawing; all still present in her work today. As part of her ever evolving creative practice, she is currently exploring textile art techniques; from painting on fabrics, natural dyeing, fiber collage, quilting and embroidery.
In the coming months Studio Practice will open its online shop; launching with a series of art prints and original works.
